There were always moments where I would completely lose track of time, or forget exactly where and what I had been doing. Now was one of these moments, and my head felt incredibly pained with an oncoming headache. The ringing in my ears did not stop, and my limbs felt like weights were dragging them down. Yet, somehow, I kept moving them, walking forward as I now realized where I was walking towards.

There lay a fallen person, scrambling back and away from me, fear in their expression. I raised my arms up, blade shining as the fire around me continued to rise, uncaring as I brought it down to silence their cries. Blood splattered all over me, flecks of it getting onto my face, but I paid it no mind.


It was a strange feeling to not care, mind numb from all of the suffering I was causing, I felt so detached. There was simply the mission, and to do whatever I was told, for Reunion's sake. For Sephiroth. I wanted to find him. Needed to hear his words, and whatever praises that could be granted. All in the hopes that I was enough for the famed hero, and if not, I would prove to him…
